Hi guys!
we meet again.
So, today im going to teach u how to tighten
loose gunpla joints.
Be aware that this is a method that i think is quite reliable in fixing loose joints (specifically the ball joints)for me but if it didnt work for u and u damaged it, dont blame it on me. :)
The trick on tighten a gunpla loose joint is to add more layers onto the ball joint so that the gap between the "ball" and "socket" part becomes tighten. Second is to increase friction on the "ball" part to get rid of that "smoothness".
Well, it sounds like some gay porn scene but thats the most easieast way for me on explaining what is a loose joint. This problem is quite common among TT Hongli kits and is considered as a basic things that u have to learn when buying a bootleg. :p
So, in order to fix it, u will need a few things.
The joints that are loose (in my case, its my Dynames hands that i reviewed earlier) and a super glue!
Some said that a hobby cement will yield a better result but i just love the super glue more.
First thing to do is to apply the super glue on top of the "ball" part of the joint and let it harden for about 10 seconds.
Then stick it into the joint and let it be for about 5 seconds and then start to wiggle the joint. Make some motion with the joint so that the super glue dont stick permanently on the joint.
Poof! Then u get a perfectly tighten joint for ur gunpla.
Some tips or two about this method is the amount of time the super glue will harden (those 10 seconds, 5 seconds and all) are actually depends on the super glue itself. Some takes 10 seconds and some takes 5 seconds. Take note of that.
So, thats all for this tutorial, hope it helps. Till next time. Cya! :)
END!
I also did this to mah plamo!
ReplyDeleteim glad u found it helpful. :)
ReplyDeleteThx, finally the gundam's hands won't be dropping when it is holding the gun ^^ Cheers
