Oh Age-1 ~
what a beautiful, strong, lovely, spoilery
(as in the spoiler at the back) Gundam you are.
yes, i know. people have been bashing Gundam Age
since they 1st saw the looks of how Age-1 will be.
"OMG childish!!! oh shiet farking spoilerrrrrrrronnnthebackkkkk fakkkk".
meh ~
different people, different taste.
honestly, i really loved how Age-1 looks like.
it has this sleek, streamlined yet still looks kinda bulky design
that is remisnisence of ye olde grandpa, Rx-78-2.
and the spoiler on the back. i really love that <3
The anime, Mobile Suit Gundam Age is full of those
tidbits appreciation of the old design that we all loved.
Age - 1 is kinda like the re-imagined version of Rx-78-2,
Age - 2 looks like Zeta, Age - 3 certainly has that bulkiness of ZZ Gundam,
and Age-Fx looks like a fucking turtle. haha. especially his face.
myammm myammmm
(thats how a turtle sounded like.....rite?)
anyway, i really loved the uses of Arms wear
(or something like that. not really sure the correct terms)
in giving new forms or power up for the Gundams.
Age -1 Titus has got to be one of my favourite.
Where have we encountered that bulky, big hands,
big legs look for a gundam before?
the last time i saw a gundam like this is in G Gundam
( Gundam Maxter to be exact).
So, its kinda that needed, fresh element in design.
The HG by Bandai is superb.
Looks spot on like the anime is, has the correct proportion and
that great engineering in articulation.
Here's a profile shot of how Dragon Momoko HG Age-1 Titus
looks like.
Dragon Momoko's (DM) HG Age-1 Titus however
added some whole new things.
First of all, they added spikes! real, quite sharp spikes.
damn. you got to be careful with those spiky spikes.
The spikes do add a new, badass look to Titus.
there a 3 on each shoulder, 2 small ones on each of the hand,
1 on each knee and 2 on each foot.
Dang.
Dragon Momoko really are good in "replicating" the fine details that the Bandai counterpart has of this kit. They also make their own manual from scratch and all. So, that is kinda new.
I like to think this as a third party improvement, much like what
GoGo has done with their Hi Nu EVO and Sazabi EVO,
also like what MCModel has done with their Gundoom line.
so, by far, it is kinda on the border between
a bootleg and a third party kit.
Other then the spikes, DM also has given us a
new design for the hand beam effect. a spinning one that is.
Though the clear parts really are a turnoff for me.
The spiky clear effects all has bubble in it. every fucking one.
The spinning beam effect however doesn't have that problem.
lavalamp?
Heres the full front, side and back pics of how
Titus looks like, fully beam loaded.
oh and the v fin is pre-sharpened. nice!
not that you could not do it on a normal Bandai HG,
but it does eliminate the hassle to do it. :)
and that is all the added "improvement" that DM has done to Titus.
Articulation wise, it is superb. just that, the PC is kinda a bit too....squishy?
it makes the kit loose faster. so, get some gaogao PC and just sumbat it in! :D
that's all there is of what i want to say about this kit.
will update later when i have finished painting this kit.
keep in mind that the photos are OOB build of it.
No stickers or panel line has been applied
happy gunpla-ing! :D
If you are from malaysia and is interested in buying it,
you can get this kit here :
