SD Gundam RX-78-2 with G - Armor : WIVSP 2 (Colouring the cute guy!)

Here come part 2 of the
WISP SD Gundam RX-78-2 with G-Armor.

This post will be about painting the
SD Gundam RX-78-2.

As you can see, we'll start with whats
the colour that is needed to colour this
little guy.

I've highlight it in the colour guide above,
and it needs a bit of Red for the centre part
of the v-fin, the chin and also the lower part
of his "belly".

Yellow for the collar part,
the part on the skirts, White for the upper
part of his legs, beam saber hilts on the backpack
and grey for the hands.

Sounds simple rite? ahah~
well, we'll see how simple it is in this WIP.

First off is to get rid of those nasty seamlines.
As you can see, i already cement and sand the
seamlines on the head.

Then i also remove the seamline on the foot.

Then i proceed to spray the foot part
red first so that the paint will
eliminate any trace of seamlines.

Thats it for now for the leg parts.

Next is the head. First is to mask the
surrounding part of the chin. So that the
other parts are protected from paint.

Then i use the UniPaint Marker Red to colour
the chin.

Well, its not really red as it turns out
to be pink! So i proceed to layer the "pink"
marker parts with red mural color to have a more
fierce red.

The same goes with the v-fin.

And heres the head completed.
Looks quite good so far. :D

i use the stickers for the eyes and
the front and back camera as i think
those parts should have a reflective
surface. :)

The beam saber also goes into the same
treatment as the chin and the v-fin earlier.

Next is the torso. First off is to colour the
collar part. I mask the surrounding parts
and uses a white mural colour and began
building thin layer of the white colours
until it turns completely white.

Then i repeated the thin layer technique but now
with a yellow mural colour, till it become completely
yellow.

Heres the finished torso with the waist.
The same technique is applied to the waist,
the beam saber hilt on the backpack
and also, i used the UniPaint red marker
onto the lower part of the torso.

Looks great so far. :D

So, heres how i do the masking on the
shield. The shield is consist of 2 colours,
white for the upper square part and yellow
for that star or something.

First off is to layer it with white mural
color, the same as before until it turns
completely white.

To make thing faster, i proceed to use the
Artline 440 XF Paint Marker for the yellow.
The reason i didn't use this before is because
these paint markers are only good for
things that are small. I dont recommend it
for large surface.

Then i painted the inside of the shield grey.

The shield were done, so next is the feet.
Firstly, i use the red UniPaint marker and
then painted the lower part of the feet red
and the upper part white using the mural colour.

After that were done, i then painted the hand with

grey, yellow for a part of the rifle (that you will
see after this) and it is finished! :D

So now, i present to you, the SD RX-78-2!

Heres the pic with the all of the accessories.

The profile pic.

Some poses that you can do with it (not much really..)

Fully weaponized!

More not-so-dynamic poses!

So, yeah. Thats all what you need to do
in order to colour this little cute guy.
and im so liking it!

mainly because its so damn cute. :)

Thats all for this post, i'll see u next time
with the WIVSP of the G-Armor!

Cya!
