Gale Strike WIP 2 : its hard to spray!

how do i start this post? i dont even know what to say actually. Except that this part will cover how i sprayed the red and grey part of the painting. All i can say is, i've made a big mistake in choosing the red color.

At first, i thought Candy Red is a great color to use on the red parts. i guess i was wrong. I'll talk about that later. Let the pictures gave u an insight on what i have been doing.

here we have the parts thats going to be red getting readied for priming purposes. I use silver for the prime coat as i wanted the red to become sort of like metallic. (bad idea guys, really, a bad idea). As u can see, i did not used any of those alligator clips, mainly because i dont know where to find them. haha. looks like satay to me, and im getting hungry by the way.

now thats how i attach the stick to the parts. I only use those masking tapes, the cheap one that is. about RM1.20 that is. Quiet cheap and they do deliver the jobs quite well. But remember not to attach the tapes on the parts that will be visible afterwards. As it will block the paint.

and this is another one of my method that i use. I use this when i find holes that can fit on the stick. I just stick the stick into the hole that fits. I just make sure that the parts dont wiggle and stay put firmly.

here's my custom made Char Aznable spraying glove. Nice~!

and, it is primed with silver. The silver didnt stick very well on the orange parts. i wonder why?

i then proceeded with the candy red color. Here's where i made a big mistake. and it is a very BIG mistake. When spraying a kit, make sure that u are very PATIENT in doing it. Dont be like me, i was so totally excited that i didnt even care at that time, if i have sprayed too much. There is too much paint that it starts dripping!

I thought it was ok and i was deadly wrong. U'll see the result of that after this. For now, enjoy the pictures.

The paint dries rather quickly. Here's the lower body where i was impatient enough to start assembling it as soon as the paint dries. haha. Looks quite good for this part.

The foot parts also looks quite good. And, as u can see, some detailing can be done to the inner frame of the ankle. This is the only part that u can do detailing as i cant find any other parts that has the "inner frame" thingy. Cant expect much from a NG.

Just use any gold and silver marker, then color it any way u want and voila! things then looks good. :)

Looks really good. :)

After the red was done, the gray part is next. I used a normal gray color, nothing fancy and it turns out quite well.

Im surprised that the gray paint looks really good. I was quiet skeptical at first because the gray spray paint that i was using is not the same brand as the other spray but it turns out better then what i were expecting.

After the gray paint has finally dried, it takes about 45 minutes to dry, i quickly assembly the parts where there are grey and red in a single part to see the compatibility of the color with each other. I could say that i were quite shocked to see the red is not very compatible to the grey parts.

As you can see below, this is the result of my impatient in doing this kit. The uneven spray paint has made my red parts kinda hideous.

Need to respray the red again, this time using normal red. :( more work to do. hurmm... See you guys in the next WIP.
